SELANGOR — KAMI KUDUS Tamil was held at MBS Recreation and Training Centre from May 14 to 15.

KAMI KUDUS — Close contact with Jesus is a weekend renewal programme for those aged between 18 and 39 years old by ASAYOKL.

The purpose of the programme is to provide space for young people to have the opportunity of a renewed encounter with Jesus, and each other, as a community of faith.

Below is a sharing from a participant:

“The favourite part that most of us encountered is the invaluable insight into what we can create when gathered as a family of youth to face the challenges and opportunities of living with God’s love. It is amazing how our God teaches us in a way that is perfect for each of us individually.

“We are called to do something of quality. He loves us and therefore He wants us to achieve His will by the power of the Holy Spirit and that means Believing and Accepting and also having a choice to interact or not, to the Voice of the Holy Spirit.

When we are focused on the will of God, the Holy Spirit will continue to work to encourage you and enlighten you to go forth. Since He knows us (as He chose us), we are all obligated to bear witness to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.

“When you come home from a church camp, you experience a ‘camp high’ after spending the weekend praising and worshipping, and getting a close connection with Jesus. You are ready to face the world and share all the Good News. And then, it dies slowly… You go back to your routine and forget all the things you just learned.

“I was a little afraid the same thing would happen after attending KAMI KUDUS. I was willing to do everything I could to protect it. But after KAMI KUDUS, I had a self- realisation that God is always reminding me to put it down, hands open and surrender it all to Him. He kept working and bringing clarity. The ‘camp high’ cannot be lost when we continue to follow Him. I have never felt so confident about the direction we were headed. We are all on God’s path.” –Church of the Visitation, Seremban
