Interactive Holy Week and Easter Sessions with EMPOWERED Ministry

KUCHING — EMPOWERED Ministry organised a virtual session for Holy Week on Friday, 8 April via Zoom with the theme “What Do You Remember? A Holy Week Interactive Session”. The interactive session was hosted by Ralph Balan using a virtual tool for a game of ‘scattergories’ on Holy Week themes with categories such as eents or celebrations in the Church, places mentioned in the Bible, characters in the Passion Story of Jesus, and more. Participants of the session had the chance to share and exchange their answers while learning about the significance of Lent and Holy Week celebrations.

Then on 22 April, a virtual Game Nite was organised via Zoom and hosted by Emmanuel to celebrate Easter in a fun and interactive manner. Participants joined in the game using a virtual tool called ‘sketchful.io’ to creatively draw out clues while the other participants guessed the answers.

EMPOWERED Ministry is transitioning its activities and programmes from the virtual sphere to physical spaces in the coming months while closely monitoring guidelines issued by the authorities, the Archdiocese of Kuching and the Cathedral Parish Office on physical gatherings.
