KUCHING — Easter 2022 is indeed a time of joy at St Joseph’s Cathedral. Not only is it a time for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Saviour, but also witnessing and celebrating with candidates from the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
This year saw 73 Elects receiving baptism, their First Holy Communion and being confirmed; 32 Reception candidates being received into the Roman Catholic Church and 73 adult confirmands completing their Sacrament of Initiation.
It began on 19 April for the BM group, followed by the English group on 22 April and finally on 24 April, it was the Chinese group’s turn.
With this, we welcome all neophytes and the newly Received into our Catholic family, and congratulate the adult confirmands for having completed their Sacrament of Initiation.
