Kuching Carmelite nuns moving out of old monastery

The Carmelite nuns posing with the model of their new Monastery

KUCHING — The Carmelite nuns have moved out from their monastery to their temporary residence to make way for the construction of a new concrete monastery on 3 July. They are currently staying at 28 Deshon Road, Kuching.

The construction of the new monastery is expected to complete in 20 months.

The nuns requested for prayers that the construction would progress smoothly as planned so they could return to their new home sooner.

They welcome anyone who would like to contribute towards their building fund. Cheques are to be made payable to “Archbishop of Kuching – Carmelite Monastery” and sent to: Mother Prioress, PO Box 940, 93718 Kuching. For those in Kuching, the special brown envelop available in the parishes can also be used to submit your donations. For more information, please contact The Archbishop’s Office at +6082-242634.
