KUCHING — On 30 January 2021, Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP) St Joseph Conference’s President and members, received angpows from the Lions Club on behalf of 10 of SSVP’s adoptees who celebrate the Lunar New Year.
In previous years, SSVP adoptees were invited to be present to receive gifts of food and other items, and angpows directly from the Lions Club representatives, but due to the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to observe the state SOPs, this could not be done this year. Nonetheless, this did not dampen the festive spirit for our adoptees as our SSVP members delivered the angpows to each of them.
