MIRI — The Miri Branch of the Natural Fertility Awareness Service of Malaysia (NFASM) organised a refresher course for their teachers of the Billing Ovulation Method of Natural Family Planning (BOM-NFP) on 16-17 September. It was held at Human Life Service premises and was attended by 15 teachers, some having been first trained decades ago.
National President of NFASM, Dr LL Chan gave them the two day programme particularly touching on charts of women in breast feeding and those having given up contraceptive medication and thus expecting returning fertility at any time. The participants were also presented a short session on the usefulness of BOM in detecting fertility problems.
Most of the participants found the two-day refresher course to be a useful in up-skilling them as BOM-NFP teachers.
