KUCHING — On 20 September 2019, during a special Evening Mass, 52 students of the Blessed Sacrament Church’s Sunday School Programme received their First Holy Communion from Fr Felix Au.

Accompanied by their families, the communicants were dressed smartly; the boys wore bow ties with white shirts and pants while the girls were attired in white frocks with white veils and head garlands.

The communicants had been preparing for this sacramental gift for months. They had their first Confession during the Recollection-cum-Retreat held on 7 September.

Fr Felix reminded them to always prepare themselves to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ by attending Mass every week and to dress well. In addition, they should come early for Mass and to go for confession regularly.

The Rector congratulated the 52 communicants and hope they will always treasure Jesus Christ every day of their lives and never take the Sacrament of the Eucharist for granted.

Fr Felix also thanked the Sunday School teachers for their dedicated commitment and the parents for supporting the programme, and all the other organizations that helped during the First Holy Communion Mass.
